How to Measure Your Sink for the Perfect Grid Fit Where Does The Grid Sit? Our sink protector has a 1" height, positioning it approximately 1" above the sink bottom. Therefore, it is crucial to measure your sink dimensions at this 1" height. Sink Bottom Length Carefully measure from left to right at the plane 1" above the sink bottom. Ensure the grid length is approximately 1/2" less than your measurement to prevent the grid edge from touching the sink. Sink Bottom Width Carefully measure from top to bottom at the plane 1" above the sink bottom. Make sure the grid width is about 1/2" less than your measurement to avoid contact with the sink edge. Kitchen sink drains typically come in three locations: centered, rear, or side. Select a grid with the same drain location as your sink.
